In The Holidays

In the holidays we went to the pamura worf and i did some booms with my sisters and my dad. i went down the steps and dived In the water then I came back up and went on the top of the birge. Then i went back and went to jumped off the top of the wood. i boomd in front of my Dad and sisters and the people. When i boom in front for the people i was sye so my dad told me to jump. it went a little bit high then i Swam back to the letter again I claim up then I jumped again and it was bigger than my Other ones was little so i had To claim back up the letter again then i did a harder one. then my one was higher then the other one. So i Stan no the sand and my feet was hot and burning So I put my sneakers on so It won't burn anymore

In the holidays, I went to the Parakai pools and we did bombs with my famIly. And I had fun After the pools we went home then we sleep Until morning. Then we went to the park and Court’s with my uncle. And me and my uncle went back and saw them doing a BBQ then we eat.Then I went in side and play fortnite with my uncle and Friend the we played UFC 2. to After playing fortnite and UFC 2 and we went to sleep.

The Kitten

The Kitten

Rosie wanted a kitten more than anything in the world. For months, she had dreamed of the day that she and her parents would go to the pound and adopt her brand new pet. But Rosie’s mother insisted they waited until Rosie’s birthday, which was two months away. Rosie thought of kittens all day. She hoped hers would have blue eyes, fluffy fur, and a happy purr that Rosie would feel through her shirt when the kitten curled up on her chest.

Walking home from school one day, she passed a neighbour’s house and noticed a big cardboard box on the porch. Curious, she ventured closer and saw her neighbour, Mrs. Spencer, lifting a fluffy kitten from the box! The words “Free Kittens” were written across the side of the box in big, black letters.

Mrs. Spencer saw Rosie eyeing the box and waved to her to come closer. “Your name is Rosie, isn’t it? You live down the block.” Rosie nodded and held her arms out for the kitten Mrs. Spencer was handing to her to hold. It had blue eyes and its fur was as soft as Rosie had dreams it would be.

“Would you like to adopt that kitten?” asked Mrs. Spencer, smiling kindly. Before she knew what she was saying, Rosie blurted out, “Yes!”

“Is it alright with your parents?”

“It’s fine. We’ve been planning to get a kitten for months.” Though it wasn’t the whole truth, Rosie couldn’t help herself. She let Mrs. Spencer put the kitten into a little box, hand her a can of food, and send her on her way.

Kia ora! My name is Makea and I am 9 years old. I am in Year 5 at Point England School in Glen Innes, Auckland, New Zealand. In my family there are 10 people. My family’s culture is cook Island.

After school and at the weekend I like to play. My favourite sport is basketball. My favourite colour is black. At school I enjoy learning maths. This year for my learning I want to work on my maths because I think maths is cool.
